The Shawangunk Ridge, which is also known as The Gunks or the Shawangunk Mountains, in New Paltz, NY on a December morning. Atop the Ridge, which is a continuation of the easternmost ridge of the Appalachian Mountains, rests Mohonk Mountain House's Skytop Tower.
